Say what you mean to say...

I am never surprised by the things that my children do, but I am often touched and in awe of the things that they say. This story I am about to share is about my sweet little Brecken. She constantly touches my heart with her soft spirit and kind heart. What a blessing she is!

Well, it was one days where the morning had seemed to slip by so fast and before I knew it, it was 3 o'clock. My three beauties were napping and I decided to finally take my shower for the day. If there is one thing that a mother looks forward to, it is a hot, quiet shower.
Just as I was about to step foot into my hot, quiet shower, Miss Brecken peeks her beautiful face around the corner. "Good morning, mommy," she said to me in her sweet voice. Although, I let out a little sigh knowing that I had lost the quiet part of my shower, I was determined to enjoy the hot part! I quickly jumped into the shower before anyone else joined me. Miss Brecken found a cozy spot to sit in the middle of the bathroom floor. I wasn't in the shower for more then 30 seconds when I realized that because I was in such a hurry to get in the shower, I had forgotten my washcloth sitting by the sink. With a roll of my eyes and a grunt of annoyance I ripped open the shower curtain and saw the most beautiful little face looking up at me. I smiled and asked Brecken, "Will you get the washcloth for mommy?" Little Brecken stood up and looked at me. "By the sink honey, get mommy's washcloth." Brecken walked over the sink and looked back up at me. She grabbed the soap and walked towards me. "Thank you Brecken, but mommy needs the washcloth. It's on top of the big purple towel." She walks back to the sink and grabs me my hairbrush. "Brecken, look at mommy, I need the washcloth." Once again she walks back to the sink and hands me my underwear. So there I am in my hot shower holding a bottle of soap, a hairbrush and a pair of underwear. I decided to get out of the shower and get my washcloth because I was quickly running out of hands to hold all my so-called washcloths. I walked up to the sink, grabbed my washcloth and ran back to the shower. I peeked my head out of the shower curtain and saw Brecken once again looking up at me, I held up the washcloth and said, "See Brecken, washcloth." With the brightest little eyes and cutest little smile she said, "Washcloth, noooooope...Purple Baby Dry." Huh? As I pondered what she had just said I thought yes, it was purple, yes it was small (baby), and yes it does make you dry. I thought to myself, you're right Brecken, how practical, how simple, how perfectly perfect! And yes, in case you were wondering, I did enjoy my hot shower and my Purple Baby Dry.

Sweet little Brecken. She brings us so much joy!
