A Dream Come True...

Congrats John...your journey has just begun!

Well the day is finally here...we got our orders today and I am now a proud wife of a "E6" pilot! What a journey this has been so far. YHWH has guided our steps and we are now starting a new chapter in our lives. John was selected today as a "maritime" pilot. This is a dream come true not only for him, but for myself and our daughters. We are so proud of him and can't wait to see what this next journey will bring. We found out we will be moving to Corpus Christi, Texas where John will begin his training on June 30th. This portion of his training should last between 6 months and a year. We will still be having Miss Baylen here in Pensacola, and will begin our journey to Texas on June 8th. What a blessing this selection was...we will be moving from Texas to our permanent duty station in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. We congratulate you John on all of your hard work and dedication...you are an awesome pilot and we are so proud of you. Your purpose in this journey is to win and our purpose is to help you achieve that victory! We love you and bless you on the next chapter of your life!!

April #2: Change is in the Air

Here Brecken is posing with her new rake...I have the fluffiest carpets in town. She drags that thing everywhere. What a pose...what a doll!

Wow what a season we are in...things are getting exciting to say the least. I would be lying if I did not say I was a little nervous and filled with anticipation. I know that everything will work out and change is good. We are so just enjoying today and taking in all the good things around us...which there are many, so many! The weather has been wonderful and we have been spending a lot of our days at the park. The rain we have gotten has made everything so green and beautiful...hard to stay indoors.

John is really busy with flight school. He has had many long days of studying, flights, and simulators. He is currently on his last set of simulators which will be finished this week. He will be doing his cross country flight this coming weekend. He will leave Friday and return on Sunday...he will be going to Athens, Georgia. This will count as 5 flights so he will be completely finished with his schooling next Monday or Tuesday! Wow how time flies. We are set to make our aircraft selection on May 7th, but think that it might get moved up a week or so. John is not quite sure what he will be selecting yet, but knows that YHWH will lead him to make the right decision. I know he will...til then we will wait and see.

I am doing great and feeling ready to have little Miss Baylen. I have almost 36 weeks and we have been busy getting all the baby stuff out of storage and washed up. John has always said that she will come on May 8th, so we will wait and see what the day brings. I don't have a date in mind, but I am feeling that we will not make it til May 20th or at least hoping...ha. I am getting all the newborn clothes and diapers out and getting bags ready for the hospital...so I guess you could say that I am in the heart of "nesting."

Brecken is a blast to be with everyday. What a joy she is...keeping me busy and filling my day with laughter. She has enjoyed checking out all the baby stuff we have pulled out and has even tried some of it out to see if it will be safe for her sister...what a sight that was. She is talking more and more everyday. She is learning words like "oose" for juice and"nigh nigh" for night night. We have invested in some big girl toys for her and she has enjoyed playing with those. We go to the park a lot together and have playdates about 2 times a week with her friend Benjamin. She is getting very excited for her sister's arrival and also the arrival of her Aunt Julie who will be coming to visit on May 8th!

So many unknowns are around the corner and our lives will be very different in the next couple of weeks. We are looking forward to the future and enjoying our todays. I will keep you all informed of how are we are doing. We love you all and look forward to writing the next update that will be sure to bring you all...BIG NEWS!!!

Daddy's Little Girl...Brecken so enjoys the time she spends with her daddy. As soon as he comes home from work she rarely leaves his side...as you can see most of the time he doesn't even get out of his flight suite for a couple hours. Hey who can blame him?

Here is a pic of Brecken and her new friend Ben. They went to an egg hunt together and had a great time jumping in the bounce house!

This was Brecken's first scavenger hunt. Her and her daddy both had such a great time reading their clues and searching for their eggs. They both played their parts...daddy read the clues while Brecken licked the eggs.

We have not become "beach bums" yet, but we have definately become "farm fanatics." There is nothing better then the warm sunshine on your face, a cool breeze blowing your hair, and little Brecken looking absolutely adorable in her Florida sunhat.

Daddy has been watching Iron Man one too many times....Brecken is now "Iron Baby!"

Less then four weeks to go...what a miracle...what a blessing.
Patiently awaiting the arrival of Miss Baylen Grace Wittrock!

BRECKEN'S GOT HAPPY FEET!!!

Brecken loves to dance...I think I can see some of her daddy's moves in that fancy footwork!

April Update: Spring is Here!

Our beautiful girl....

Happy Spring!!! We are so enjoying this mild weather we have been having. Just nice enough to be outside in short sleeves without having to break out the sunscreen. We got the biggest storm we have ever seen last week. It rained 8 and 1/2 inches in 8 hours. Lightening, thunder, and hail! It washed our driveway out horribly so now we have to drive on the neighbor's grass, which is turning into a mud hole as well. We got another 5 inches yesterday. Brecken waited by the door nearly all day to go out...:( The grass is green and the flowers and trees are blooming which is beautiful. We have a lot of bumble bees hanging around our house, which is a beautiful site.

John is speeding through his training now. He is back in groundschool and just finished a test on navigation, which everyone says is a real bear. He scored a 98%, not surprising to me, but hey what can I say....I know how to pick 'em. He is doing his simulators now on navigations and will be doing those for a couple of weeks. After that he will be back to flying. He should be done with this school by the end of April!!

I am now 33 weeks and the doctor says I am measuring a week early, so we will wait and see what happens. I am feeling good and keeping busy chasing Miss Brecken around. We found out that we will be able to have the baby here, so that is good news. We will be getting our orders probably at the end of April and John will be able to stay home with me til the baby is born. We will probably be moving a couple weeks after Baylen is born...sound familiar? I am getting really good at decorating houses...ha!

Brecken seems to be growing an inch a day. She is getting so big and makes me laugh everyday! She has learned how to whistle and loves to read books! She is constantly on the go and is so smart. She met a new friend who is a month older then her and we have playdates about once a week. I think her favorite things are kids and puppies...along with mommy and daddy!!! What a joy she is to us and we thank YHWH everyday for her!
I hope everyone is doing well and we are hoping that our next blog update Miss Baylen will be born and Miss Brecken will be a big sister!

OUR FABULOUS FAMILY PHOTOS

A little family photo...not too much longer before we will add another one!

Caught in the chocolate...mommy left the spatula too close to the edge of the counter and Brecken was delighted to have chocolate for breakfast. I caught her sneaking licks behind the columns in our dining room!

We have a little baby pool sitting out on our deck...the weather is not quite nice enough for swimming suits, but if you ask Brecken she will say,
"Hey, who needs them."

Here she is digging up a storm in the sand. She loves the beach a whole lot and gets so excited when she hears the waves.

Grandpa Marv and Grandma Barbie came to visit us. We had such a good time. Brecken took them to the beach to show off her digging and wading skills.

Many of you have been wanting a tummy shot...well here it is. I am getting a little bigger everyday, but feeling wonderful.

Grandma and Grandpa are walking Brecken down our driveway...she can hear the neighbor's dogs from a mile away. Her face lights up and down the path she goes...taking everyone with her that she can find!

Brecken loves going to the park...as for the swing, she is not sure about that. She always wants to get in it, then once she is in she wants out.

Brecken absolutely loves to go and visit the neighbor's house. They have 9 dogs, 3 chickens, 5 horses, 1 pig, and 6 children. You can see why she loves it so much!!
