Well, we finally made it home from our wonderful trip to Iowa. We had such a wonderful time and enjoyed every minute we got to spend with our family and friends. Grandma Barbie flew down here to Corpus Christi to help me with the flight home with the girls...wow what a help she was. The girls were amazing and Barbie definately earned her stripes!! We were home for 10 days and got to see both of our families and even some good friends. The girls were spoiled by hugs and kisses and loved every minute of it. John was able to come for the weekend a whole 36 hours to be exact. Katie, John's sister got married to Aaron Grant and we all got to attend the festivities...it was a blast! As you can guess Brecken stole the show by running down the aisle in squeaker shoes and Baylen was so beautiful in her silk dress and satin shoes! We were definately ready to get back to our home and settle back into our routine...which we are still working on! Trying to find the floor and counter tops is my first goal.
John just finished up a really hard week of ground school with many long hours. He is now on his last week of ground school and is getting ready to start up flying again. He spent a whole week without us here while we were in Iowa and found out how quiet a house can be. He is scheduled to get his pilot wings on December 4th...let's hope the weather holds up and we don't get any hurricanes between now and then. After his graduation here we will be off to Oklahoma where we could be stationed anywhere from four to eight years. We would like to stay as long as we can, but we will wait and see. When John is not working he loves being with his daughters...I don't blame him! A couple of weeks ago he came home with some really great outdoor toys for the girls that he got at a garage sale...so whenever he gets a chance he is pulling the wagon and playing in the playhouse.
I also enjoyed myself in Iowa. I had lots of help around so I took some time for myself and got a pedicure and a massage...wow it was wonderful! It was my greatest joy to share my two beautiful daughters with family and friends, but I was definately ready to get them home and have them to myself again. While we were in Iowa, my wonderful husband drove up to Houston and purchased me and the girls a Cadillac Escalade. I so love it and it was a great blessing to me. Isn't it amazing to have someone in your life that exceeds all of your expectations...that is my husband, John! Brecken loves the dvd player, I love the navigation system, and Baylen loves sleeping...ha! Now the trick is to see if it will fit in the garage...we got the extended version so that we will have plenty of room when more babies are added :)...no I am not making an announcement!
Brecken, Brecken, Brecken is an amazing little girl. She is growing so fast and is a go getter. If you are looking to shed a few pounds let me know and I will let you babysit for a day...this is no joke! She is enjoying the new house and loves playing outside in her new little playhouse. She gets to ride in her wagon everyday to the mailbox, which seems to be the highlight of her day. She is constantly talking and is saying more words...like banana and roars like a lion and pants like a puppy dog. She is too cute for words. She went swimming a couple of times while we were home and loved it and even got to ride Grandpa Marv's riding lawn mower...another big hit! We are working on potty training and she is doing a great job sitting on it...now if I can just keep her head and hands out of it!
Baylen Grace is almost two months already and is such a good baby! She is sleeping 6-7 hours each night and rarely cries only when she needs to eat and when she is cold...she must be my daughter! She has starting cooing and talking and smiles all the time...it always seems to melt my heart. She definately is a mover and a shaker...very strong and is doing a great job of holding her head up. She will definately give Brecken a run for her money...they will be great playmates that is for sure. She is in 3-6 months clothes now and is growing more and more everyday. She is a beautiful and healthy girl and an amazing addition to our family. I can not imagine life without her!!
So needless to say life is GOOD and we are enjoying every minute of it! We will keep you updated on how we are doing and how the girls are. Hope everyone is doing well and enjoying there summer!
PHOTOS OF OUR FAMILY...
Little Miss Brecken was a flower girl in Aunt Katie's wedding...she did an amazing job running down the aisle in her little white squeakers!
Baylen Grace was so beautiful in her little white dress...she slept through the service, but heard there was a reception afterwards and suddenly became bright eyed!
Just a little snapshot of me and my wonderful husband...what a lucky woman I am.
The first day in Iowa, Brecken found Grandpa Jack's pond and in went dozens of rocks...moments later she was up to her knees in the water while still in her jammies...to priceless!

My new little "mommy" vehicle...love it, love it, love it!
Dance, Brecken, Dance
Brecken is such a mover and a shaker and had a blast at the wedding reception...after 15 years of dance lessons she even showed me up.
