Ahhhhh...We are finally HOME!
Our beautiful house...
Well, like the title says, we are finally home! It has been quite a journey the last couple of months and it is such a great feeling to finally be in the place where you know you are meant to be! We are settling into our new home and the boxes are disappearing quickly! We have the loft to unpack, but other than that everything is set up and ready to go! The girls are adjusting so well and have made themselves at home. They have so many different places to play that they never get bored and always have new places to mess up (we are working on that)! We made a playroom for them upstairs in the extra bedroom, so they have a whole floor all to themselves...they love it! We took a little trip to Iowa to see some wonderful friends and family and had a great time...it was a quick trip, but so worth the drive! Now we are back home and settling into a routine with John at work and the kids and I enjoying our new home!
John started up his training last Friday and is really enjoying being back to work and learning to fly the E-6. His training should take about 6 months then we will begin his deployment cycles. He is in the simulators everyday and does a lot of computer lessons on the aircraft systems. When he is not working at the base he is busy working at home. He has done an amazing job getting our house together in working order and has been busy building a work bench, pedestals for my washer and dryer, and best of all my new scrapbook desk! I will be sure to post a picture of the finished project. I am so thankful that he works so hard to provide us with this beautiful home to live it...the man has great vision!
I have been very busy decorating...my favorite thing to do! I am itching to complete the loft which will be the guest room as well as my scrapbook room. I think John is working on my patience in that area...I am barely passing! This week was my first week at home with the girls again. After almost three months of having John home and seeing so much family, it was a shock to have them to myself. I very, very quickly adjusted and love having them all to myself, they are such sweet girls. John set up the treadmill in our bedroom and we just purchased a new flat screen to mount on the wall above it...talk about MOTIVATION! I am loving it here in Oklahoma and so excited to be home!
Brecken is also loving the new house and has quickly made herself at home. We set her bedroom up first and she was so excited to see all of her toys again. She loves the stairs steps and is doing a great job going up and down them. Sometimes we will all be downstairs and can hear Brecken's pitter patter going upstairs...so cute! Daddy surprised her this week with a new toy for outside...a trampoline! She absolutely loves it...just about as much as her daddy does! She loves exploring our yard and has so much space to run. It will be a great place for the girls to play this summer. She is such a great big sister and is so patient with Baylen. They are starting to play together a little more, which is just priceless! She is turning into quite the little lady and makes us all laugh with her sense of humor!
Miss Baylen is just a crawling and climbing machine. She is never too far behind her sister and is becoming quite the little explorer. She too likes the stairs and has even made it up to the sixth step...hello baby gates! Baylen is a little talker and is saying mama and dada a lot. We are teaching her some sign language and she is picking it up quickly! She is interested in anything Brecken is playing with and wants to eat whatever she can get her hands on. It is so hard to believe that she is almost 9 months old. She is putting herself to sleep at night and sleeping about 11 hours...what a gift to herself and her mama! She is always so happy and her smile seems to be contagious!
Well, sorry it took so long for me to get our blog updated. We have been a little busier then usual...ha. We feel so blessed to be here in Oklahoma and love the fact that we are so close to family. We are excited to see what will happen here and we are expecting great things! We love having friends and family around and if any of you are close to McLoud, OK you will always have a place to stay! Take care and we will be sure to post some house pictures soon!

With all of the moving we did, Baylen was still a happy camper and as cute as ever!

Love the look of ice covering the trees outside...will this lemon tree recover?

Brecken loved to pull the paper out of the boxes...of course it was always the paper that was ready to go to the trash.

There was not too many projects that daddy got to do alone, Baylen was always close by to lend a helping hand!
