Well summer is officially over. Although it doesn't feel much like fall since today it was 94 degrees, I am glad it is here! I definately won't miss so many hot, hot days. We have gotten some good rain over the past two weeks, which has been wonderful. Brecken even got to play in it with her daddy and thought it was great. We just spent this last week with my mom and dad. We had so much fun and stayed very busy. We went to the beach a couple of times, went to some parks, had the girls pictures taken, and of course we did a little shopping. My parents even watched the girls for a night so my honey and I could have a date night. That was a lot of fun...of course the main topic of the night was "the girls." Not too surprising...what means most to you just become part of who you are!!
John has had the last three weeks off because of some maintenance issues so we have had a lot of fun at the park and at the gym. He started back up flying on Monday and is doing his night flights this week. He really enjoyed having a little break, but was definately ready to get back to flying. I was about ready to break something just so he could fix it. That man NEEDS to work...what a great quality! He is still on schedule to get his pilot wings on December 4th, but will probably be done flying a month early. John and I will be taking a trip to Oklahoma for a couple days in November to buy a house...whoo hoo! Grandma Barbie and Aunt Julie are flying down to watch the girls...I am not sure who will have more fun?
I have so enjoyed spending lots of time with my hubby and of course seeing my parents was so great. The girls and I have been going to a lot of playdates and we are getting to know a lot of people around here, which is wonderful but stinks that we will have to leave them in three months. Since John is home most nights, I get to go to the gym and have some "me" time which is always refreshing. I have been doing a lot of spinning classes, which I love. I am trying new recipes and cooking a lot more which the whole family loves. Have not set the fire alarms off yet, so I would say it is very successful!
Miss Brecken is becoming quite the jabberbox and is beginning to say all kinds of words. She loves singing and her two favorite songs are "Three Little Monkeys" and "ABC's." She goes to "Jumpin Bunnies" every Friday and loves that of course. She can now swing on the parallel bars and jumps into the foam pit by herself. She is a great big sister and usually does her own thing, but if she sees Baylen on the ground then she is fair game...ha! She loves anything that is outside and that has plenty of room to run. We always joke and say that if the world was made out of sand and silk...Brecken would think it was perfect!
Baylen is growing like crazy. She is so strong and has been rolling over for about a month now. She can stand while hanging onto our fingers and absolutely loves her jumper. She just turned 4 months and is already in some 9 month clothes! She is such a happy baby and it is hard to find a time during the day where she is not smiling. Maybe if she is tired or has gas, but hey you wouldn't smile either! She loves watching Brecken. Her eyes are always glued on her and she gets distracted when she eats if she hears Brecken's voice. She has great coordination and loves to hold and play with toys, or hair, or necklances...whatever is within arms reach!
Well as you can see we are doing amazingly well and are counting each day as a gift here in Corpus. It won't be long til we are in OK. Hope everyone is doing well and enjoying the beautiful fall weather...hey if we can in this heat, you can too!!
...Worth a thousand words
Brecken loves the park and in this video she found a little hiding place...a new discovery!
