February Update Part 2

Here is a picture of John's aircraft he flies...a T-34.

Well, I know it is hard to believe but I have updated our blog for the second time in February. My goal was to do it once a month so I guess you could say I am off to a good start. This part week my parents came to Florida to visit and we had such a great time. We took Brecken to the beach a couple of times and needless to say she loved it so much. It was hard to drag her away when it was time to go. We loved just spending time with them and spent countless hours just watching Brecken be herself...which if you have had the pleasure of being around her much, is absolutely a joy.
John has completed three solo flights now and just did his first aerobatic solo last week. He said it was the best flight that he has ever done. He is now qualified to do loops and barrel rolls so you can imagine how much fun he had up there by himself. The weather is still cloudy a couple times a week, so we have the pleasure of spending the day with him every now and then...we can't complain. It is a pretty good spot to be in.
I am doing well also just turned 27 weeks and starting to feel a little bigger. Brecken keeps me going which is good and she has just learned how to blow raspberries on my tummy. I am sure her sister Baylen loves that! Baylen has become quite the kicker and it is fun to have that feeling again. We are still unsure of where we will be in May, but I have no worries. I know that we will be taken care of.
A lot of things are changing, but we are so blessed and have just learned to enjoy the ride...especially me. We thank Yahweh for all the blessings in our lives including family, friends, health, and happiness. What can I say...LIFE IS GOOD!!

February Update Part 2 Photos

Brecken loves playing outside and was so excited to discover a little bit of sand in our backyard.

One of Brecken's favorite things to do is play in her bed. She will pull you by your finger over to her bed and start to climb...she is quite the funny girl.

Here is a picture of the Wittrock family at the beach in Perdido Key. It was a chilly day and oh yes Brecken tripped and fell in the water. We all had a blast and can't wait to go when it warms up a bit.

What a joy she is...this is a picture of Brecken "whinding down" for bed...ha! Her and her daddy love playing a game of wearing her blankie on her head. Only twice has she ran into the wall. She still thinks it's fun.

This was Brecken's second trip to the beach...she absolutely loved it. She would have walked right into the Gulf if we would have let her. She played in the sand and enjoyed sticking her toes in the water.

We all went out to eat while Grandma and Grandpa were here and Brecken tried out coloring for the first time. Other then a few lines on the actual table cloth and some crayon shavings in the mouth she didn't do to bad.

This is a picture of Brecken and her daddy on his training aircraft. They have one of these sitting out for visitors to come and sit in. Brecken loves running around the airfield looking for little puddles or piles of dirt.

Brecken has just learned to climb in and out of her cradle. She is definately adventurous...once she gets in the cradle she will stand and balance. She thinks it is so much fun!

Here are a couple of videos we took of Brecken at the beach...

The Start to a Great Year in 2009

Wow...what a holiday season it was for all of us. We had a great trip back to Iowa to visit friends and family. We spent two weeks in freezing temperatures and lots of snow...to say the least we loved it! Brecken celebrated her 1st birthday on the 26th of December and it was a blast. Nothing like having all of your friends and family there to celebrate an amazing 1st year of life. Needless to say she tore into her cake and loved every minute of it.

We are back in Florida and settling into our routine...it took awhile to get her back on track because she set a new record in Iowa. She had one official nap in her crib for the whole two weeks. Everyone was so excited to cuddle and hug on her that she had the pleasure of sleeping on everyone's laps...ha ha. I know she didn't mind one bit!!

John is back to flying and completed his first solo about a week ago. He loved it and is now doing aerobactic manuvers with his flight instructors. Hard day at the office for him! He is getting great scores on his flying and we are starting to plan out our "dream list" of what aircraft he would like to fly and where we would like to go next. Hopefully we should be done here by April, but we will wait and see!

I am also doing very well...getting a little bigger each day and we are now at 25 weeks. I am feeling great and other then not being able to see my toes, loving every minute of being pregnant. My due date is still scheduled for May 20th so we are hoping to be at our next duty station by then, but then again we will see. The military is pretty flexible with working around our due date if it gets to close...I am very thankful for that.

Brecken is doing wonderful and is such a little joy to have around. She is growing up so fast and is changing into a little girl right before our eyes. She loves to play outside and her favorite activity is picking up rocks and carrying them around the yard. We try to take her to the park every now and then and boy does she love it!! She know by now when mommy gets out her pink play shoes that she is going somewhere special...what a doll. She is so strong and healthy and full of energy. She keeps me very busy and I am so thankful everyday that I am blessed to have the opportunity to stay home with her...what a joy!

Brecken was not a big fan of the Iowa weather to say the least...she lives in Florida...what is a stocking hat? She warmed up to the idea soon after stepping outside...what a doll!

Christmas morning...Brecken was a trooper. She loved the bows on the presents and the sound of the wrapping paper. She even played with a few presents here and there.

Happy 1st birthday Brecken...your mommy and daddy love you very much!

Brecken had a butterfly theme for her birthday and had a blast. She did a wonderful job of opening presents and enjoyed seeing all the smiling faces at her party.

Brecken had so much fun diving into her birthday cake. By the time she was done playing it looked more like pudding then cake!

Christmas at the Gano's...we had such a busy schedule, but were tremendously blessed by both of our families!

What a "ROCK STAR." As you can see our daughter is very shy...ha! She loves getting attention and there is no lack of that around here.

What a go getter...she loves the park and is always on the go.

Here is a little video clip of Brecken's first trip down the slide...survey says "I think she likes it!"
