Wow...what a holiday season it was for all of us. We had a great trip back to Iowa to visit friends and family. We spent two weeks in freezing temperatures and lots of snow...to say the least we loved it! Brecken celebrated her 1st birthday on the 26th of December and it was a blast. Nothing like having all of your friends and family there to celebrate an amazing 1st year of life. Needless to say she tore into her cake and loved every minute of it.
We are back in Florida and settling into our routine...it took awhile to get her back on track because she set a new record in Iowa. She had one official nap in her crib for the whole two weeks. Everyone was so excited to cuddle and hug on her that she had the pleasure of sleeping on everyone's laps...ha ha. I know she didn't mind one bit!!
John is back to flying and completed his first solo about a week ago. He loved it and is now doing aerobactic manuvers with his flight instructors. Hard day at the office for him! He is getting great scores on his flying and we are starting to plan out our "dream list" of what aircraft he would like to fly and where we would like to go next. Hopefully we should be done here by April, but we will wait and see!
I am also doing very well...getting a little bigger each day and we are now at 25 weeks. I am feeling great and other then not being able to see my toes, loving every minute of being pregnant. My due date is still scheduled for May 20th so we are hoping to be at our next duty station by then, but then again we will see. The military is pretty flexible with working around our due date if it gets to close...I am very thankful for that.
Brecken is doing wonderful and is such a little joy to have around. She is growing up so fast and is changing into a little girl right before our eyes. She loves to play outside and her favorite activity is picking up rocks and carrying them around the yard. We try to take her to the park every now and then and boy does she love it!! She know by now when mommy gets out her pink play shoes that she is going somewhere special...what a doll. She is so strong and healthy and full of energy. She keeps me very busy and I am so thankful everyday that I am blessed to have the opportunity to stay home with her...what a joy!

Brecken was not a big fan of the Iowa weather to say the least...she lives in Florida...what is a stocking hat? She warmed up to the idea soon after stepping outside...what a doll!

Christmas morning...Brecken was a trooper. She loved the bows on the presents and the sound of the wrapping paper. She even played with a few presents here and there.

Happy 1st birthday Brecken...your mommy and daddy love you very much!

Brecken had a butterfly theme for her birthday and had a blast. She did a wonderful job of opening presents and enjoyed se
eing all the smiling faces at her party.

Brecken had so much fun diving into her birthday cake. By the time she was done playing it looked more like pudding then cake!
Christmas at the Gano's...we had such a busy schedule, but were tremendously blessed by both of our families!
What a "ROCK STAR." As you can see our daughter is very shy...ha! She loves getting attention and there is no lack of that around here.
What a go getter...she loves the park and is always on the go.
Here is a little video clip of Brecken's first trip down the slide...survey says "I think she likes it!"
